Paul Perry, piano

Paul Perry pianist, is one of the creators of California’s Music in the Mountains Festival, as well as its Conductor and Artistic Director. In addition to his directing duties for MIM, he teaches, coaches, and has served as a panelist with the California Arts Council. Perry is a graduate of Rollins College and Florida State University. His teachers have included Robert Page, Carlisle Floyd, John Carter, Ross Rosazza and Clayton Krehbiel. He has appeared with many groups throughout the Southeast, The San Francisco Bay Area, and Northern California as conductor, pianist, and ensemble player. Together with Ken Hardin, he helped to found the ensemble “Two by Four” and performs regularly as part of that piano four-hands team. Perry also serves as Artistic Director for the Desert Foothills MusicFest in Carefree, Arizona, which he helped create in January 1992.
